Work life balance doesn't exist- dispelling the myth
There are multiple people in the corporate world right now including coaches who suggest that work-life balance doesn’t exist but at Julia Trask Coaching we believe this attitude is just another way to ensure that you don’t take time for yourself and instead focus too heavily on one aspect of your life. This is why we often talk about life-work balance because we believe that life happens when work doesn’t take over the living and that it in fact is not elusive nor far fetched at all but essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Using your skills or dying with passion
One of the greatest things about running a business is that you do it with passion. In those beginning days where you set up your products and services, you work your butt off to make sure everything turns out the best that it possibly can for the skills that you have at the time. The process continues on a rinse and repeat cycle for as long as you have a business, I’ve been loving this for the past 4 and a half years. In fact, it’s this raw passion that separates the ‘everyday job’ from entrepreneurship for me, and its why I can happily choose to start my workday at 10 pm and work for 6 hours after an entirely chilled out day or why I have been happy to stay in so many nights that others were going out.

Magnetic Confidence was initially started with $0. I began without a product, just a simple clear understanding that I knew I had to bridge a gap between what I knew and what I needed to provide. You can start a successful business today if you want to, the question you have to ask yourself is: do I want it enough?
Negative gearing: how it can improve your health
When most people plan their goals they usually plan forwards, its understandable given that we associate success with stepping forward but how do we know how to achieve our end result? On July 22 I had surgery to remove a fibroid that almost filled my entire uterus. It went well but everything around that process has brought to the forefront of my mind again the importance of consistent, continual work on your confidence.

Today I ran and ran. I found myself looking at my legs and thinking 'wow what a magnificent piece of transportation you are!' As I kept running about the Royal Parks I enjoyed the serenity of the cleverly crafted natural space and mindfully ran for the first time and it was the best run I have ever had.

We are often taught that honesty is the best policy but what happens when we are honest and we are not heard? Failing to hear your loved one’s honest thoughts, ideas, plans, attitudes promotes silence. This is where the lying begins & a relationship with guilt is encouraged. The year that was & the year that will be
Around Christmas, I always feel a wave of nostalgia as I discuss with friends and family what happened over the year. The 8 year old entrepreneur
Recently my nephew was asking ‘how do I make more money Aunty Joey?’ I love it when children ask these kinds of questions, it shows how much they are thinking about their future and how much they want to take control of it. In today’s society, I don’t believe there is a time that is too young to be having these kinds of conversations, especially if a child instigates it. The conversation was initiated with me because my nephew is fully aware of my prowess with the Facebook marketplace, so like the clever boy that he is, he went straight to the source and asked questions. I love that spirit. Needless to say, it was a great teaching and learning moment between us and an opportunity to impart so much more than just money beliefs to a child that will live in a society with the epic potential to make millions and get into millions of dollars worth of debt easily. Here is a snapshot of our story.
