Christmas traditions
Every Christmas people worldwide engage in traditions that make them feel connected to the Christmas spirit. I'm so excited about Christmas so much I've encouraged friends and family members to deck their halls with boughs of holly since November. Over the years I've developed several traditions and in the spirit of Christmas, I'd LOVE to share them with you. I encourage you to share yours with me.
Spend time being grateful from Thanksgiving till the New Year
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to spend being grateful for all that we have. I don't even care that I'm not American, to me Thanksgiving simply makes sense. Who wouldn't want to express gratitude for what they have?
Not feeling as successful as you'd like, here's why.
You aren’t as successful as you think.
Yes, I said it. You are not as successful are you think unless you are a self-aware, accepting, loving individual. Employment boards will inform you that your lack of success is dictated by your skill set or ability to apply yourself and they are wrong. A lack of skills doesn’t hinder your ability to succeed your self-love does.
Why intelligence is sexy
Have you ever acted or reacted in a way you thought was less than sexy? Don’t stress most of us have at some point in time, the aim is not to punish ourselves for our reactions but to learn from them, it is only when we choose to learn that we become socially emotionally intelligent.
The face of poverty
Last night I walked the Greenwich pier. I encountered a lady who still roams the streets asking for change 2years on with her epic Great Dane that I've seen sit on train seats, drink beer but especially put its puppy dog eyes to good use. Previously (in 2012) I offered to buy her food but she aptly rejected it. I once said to her, in 2012, that if she was really struggling she'd get rid of her dog, save money on dog food & take care of herself. Fast forward to now...
You know you're back in Australia when...
You know you are back in Australia living the Aussie life when you’ve had a 20cm wasp party inside your car, an ant bite your arm so hard you have welts and you’ve walked away from your car keys in public space like the Tube will automatically drive you home. Leaving London life is tough. You spend most of your time as an ex-pat reminiscing over the stunning beauties of Australian living laughing at international friends when they call Aussies ‘hardcore’ and shrugging it off like its nothing but when you return Australia does like to let you know you are home.

I broke up with my mobile phone
Two weeks ago, I decided to break up with my mobile phone. It was necessary, it didn’t understand how much it was intruding on my time. Apple wanted to intrude on my conversations with others, my meal times, my privacy in the shower and toilet, it even wanted to be the last one I said good night to and the first one I saw in the morning. Apple was so damn needy and I bought into it. I hated it.
The latest!
Hello readers! I am so pleased to have you here! I have so much to share with you, it has been a busy time here with the mobile platform launching, a new wellness challenge being released just yesterday, and working with local businesses in the Gladstone region over the past month to add value to individuals doing it tough! I am so excited about the progress of my mobile platform which now enables my coaching clients to receive their mind workouts (coaching sessions) direct to their mobile phone. As part of the celebration two days ago on Facebook and Instagram, I announced the new wellness challenge, Fit in 30 Days! This is a challenge with a difference!
10 Ways to let out your emotions
'I have had enough of this, just leave me alone!'
'I don't want to hang out with people who cannot treat me probably. I'm over it!
These are the phrases we often hear ourselves saying when we have had a gutful. Expressing your emotions is vital for your mental health however there comes a time when you will need to choose to hold on to those emotions or let them go.
Stepping forward
Today I spoke with a minister. I haven’t stepped into a church for 2 years other than for tourist purposes. To be honest I didn’t know what kind of response I was going to get I simply knew that I needed to discuss a part of me I hadn’t spoken about yet- God.
The top 10 things of summer you wish you'd remembered in winter!
I am missing London! It's so dreadful wearing bikinis in the middle of winter on a coastal island in Queensland, Australia. Seriously though. In all seriousness though I miss actually being cold for winter. Last week I experienced ONE day of coldness, several days this winter I have nostalgia for the cold, dreary days where I could swing on my scarves, coats, beautiful knee-high boots, and darling beanies. All the while I know my UK friends and loving the heat and extended sunshine. To share my love of both winter and summer in the UK I bring you, The Top 10 Things of Summer you wish you'd remembered in Winter. Enjoy!

Why the travel bug is the best bug you'll ever get!
My journey in Europe and the UK has come to an end. It has been an epic adventure, one I'm not sure I will ever fully be able to verbalize the depth of its impact on me. I have met many people, witnessed a myriad of cultures, experienced delights, a few pitfalls, and yet again gained a thirst for exploring more of this amazing world of ours.
How to chill out when your world is manic
Does every day feel like a rat race? It doesn't matter whether you live in the city or a small town it is easier to make life a rat race by multitasking all of our daily activities by attempting to do them at once. It's very noble to attempt to do this but it simply leaves us feeling like an unaccomplished maniac. The key to chilling out when the world is spiraling isn't a craze it’s a lifestyle choice that Buddhists have been using for years...Mindfulness.
what teaching has taught me & Why I’m happy to work in business & education
Education takes your time, effort, dedication and as a friend said to me yesterday 'is a passion career; not everyone can do it.' So what has provided me with a passion to continue to teach over the past 8 years especially in the initial days of starting a business?
Why 'I' is the root of the world's problems
It is no surprise that Trump-like characters are allowed to rule over the major powerhouses of the world. The issues begin and thrive due to this 'I, me, my' mentality. We must ALL change it.
Merry Christmas!
t's Christmas! The Buble and Mariah songs fill my ears and remind me of silliness with my family. Food is everywhere. Turkey, ham, chicken, a buffet of belly stuffers; with food so delicious all limitations are dropped for the day.
